Homeschool Prom // Events

This group of kids is so fantastic!  One of the biggest bummers of being homeschooled is the shocking lack of dances (of any kind).  There has a been a movement in Rockford the last couple years to fix this and thus the "homeschool prom" was born.  On top of that, there are weekly crusades to Forest City Swing and miscellaneous swing boot camps(usually at our house :-).  Any excuse to dress up and dance!
Last year my brother(second from the left) and a group of friends got together for dinner and then headed to the Prom together.  I tagged along to help get ready and shoot some pictures of the classy folks.  Enjoy the many laughs!

Dress and bow tie custom made by Alison Hoenes.  Check out her portfolio!

I can't take so much awesome.

Photobomb level: Prom

Let's hear it for suspenders, bow ties, and oxfords folks!

And the party just got started!

  1. These are fantastic! I think my favorite is the fishing scene. :)

    1. I love that one! We just walked by and found a broken fishing pole. It was pretty simple after that. They're both in drama at school.

  2. Like this homeschooling prom events! Those are really impressive and all photograph are looking and they acts perfectly with those photos. Happy Homescooling.
