Zach // Rockford, IL senior portrait photographer

¿Se habla espaƱol?  Zach took Spanish with my older brother and I in high school.  We always sat in a three-some had our private conversations while the teacher was explaining 3rd person plural conjugation of verbs to our classmates.  Those were good days, khakis, polos and all.  :-)  That being said, I really didn't know a whole lost about Zach (except for how to pronounce his long last name).  It was fun to hang out with him and his mom while we shot his super fun senior pictures.

Because graduation?  Its exciting stuff!

Christmas Tree Hunt // Personal

Dad gives some last minute advice.

This was our first time in at least 12 years we have had a real, like alive, tree in out house.  For sure it is the first time since my sister was born.  For whatever reason we decided that this was the year and we were not only going to get a real tree, but go and pick one out ourselves. :-)

Emmy is looking forward to it.

We had never gone to get a tree at a farm before.  Neither had our friends.  So, what does one do?  Well, of course we sang songs and quoted movies and named all the dogs that were running around.

"Dashing through the snow, in a two horse open cart. . . "

But which blue spruce to choose?

This one.

Seriously one of my favorite people.  She might as well be a sister.

Success.

Natalie // Rockford, Il portrait photographer

Spring is finally here folks!  Even if we did get 2 more inches of snow on the first day of spring, the melt has officially begun! I love the smell of dirt in the spring, especially when it's raining.  Spring also means that it is time to finish blogging all of my snow-filled pictures. :-)

This is Natalie.  She's my muse. In other words, she can tell when I'm low on motivation and inspiration and drags me outside to practice.  Even when it is -2 degrees!  Yup.  She's a true friend.  Enjoy these spur-of-the-moment sunset portraits. You rock Nat!

She's a natural. :-) I'll post her senior pictures from 2 years ago soon--you won't want to miss them!
